India’s Shadowfax to open R&D centre

On-demand delivery company Shadowfax is opening a research and development (R&D) centre in Bengaluru. According to local sources, the centre will focus on  new product launches and data analytics.

“To make hyperlocal logistics efficient and optimised, it becomes critical to leverage technology to bring down costs and save on time,” said Vaibhav Khandelwal, co-founder and CTO, Shadowfax. “The R&D team will focus on getting these innovations fastest to our customers.”

Meanwhile, Khandelwal’s business partner Abhishek Bansal, told Tech In Asia today (20 November) that the company plans to expand to other Asian countries in the coming years.

“Labour intensive locations like China, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia are suitable for our business,” Bansal was quoted as saying.
