Yamato extending cool TA-Q-BIN service to Malaysia

Yamato Transport has announced that it will begin offering its cool TA-Q-BIN door-to-door cooler delivery service for small parcels that are being sent from Japan to Malaysia. The Malaysian connection will be available from next Monday (28 March).

Yamato is already offering the international cool TA-Q-BIN service for items being sent from Japan to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. The service is primarily geared to delivering specialist fresh food from Japan.

In a statement issued today (23 March), Yamato commented: “Malaysia has shown marked economic development in recent years, and Japanese food has become more popular with heightened orientation toward luxury and health.

“Further, Japanese groceries that had only been sold at major department stores in the past are becoming increasingly available at supermarkets, specialty stores, and product fairs.

“Business opportunities will likely expand for Japanese businesses with the larger demand in Malaysia and immediate elimination of import duties with the TPP agreement.”
