Whistl doubles Northern Ireland sorting capability

Whistl has expanded its capacity in Northern Ireland through the extension of its sortation depot in Newtownabbey, Belfast. As well as increasing the size of the Hightown Industrial Estate depot size to 11,000 square feet, Whistl’s mail sorting capability has grown from 32 bins to 144.

Whistl has been operating in Northern Ireland since 2010. It currently handles over 50 million items a year for clients including Allied Irish Bank and PowerNI.

Nick Wells CEO, Whistl said: “We are the only alternative national postal operator in Northern Ireland and the demand for our services from the public and private sector has enabled us to commit to invest in the area and double the capacity of our current operations.”
