Panther to launch Sunday deliveries and two-hour windows

From 1 September, Panther Warehousing will introduce a portfolio of new services, which will include Sunday delivery and two-hour delivery windows. Other new services include: later cut off times up to 10pm still with next day delivery; weekend collections on Saturday and Sunday for Monday delivery; and collection on bank holidays for next day delivery.

The introduction of the new services come just months after the company underwent an £17m management buyout (MBO) backed by private equity firm LDC.

Panther first introduced its two-man next-day white glove delivery service in 2011. In past couple of years it has seen its sales double to almost £40m, fuelled – at least in part – by the continued growth of e-commerce.

Colin McCarthy, Managing Director of Panther, commented: “As online shopping, particularly within both the home furnishings and consumer electronics sector, continues to grow it is essential that we continue to support the market in order to meet the needs of customers.

“Since the beginning of 2016 we have invested over £2m in the development of a wider product offering.  Our new portfolio of services are once again an industry first and ones which we believe will revolutionise the home delivery marketplace and help our customers to compete in a very challenging sector.”
