Honeywell handhelds for Pass My Parcel shops
Pass My Parcel is implementing Honeywell handheld computers at more than 3,000 parcel shop locations across the UK. “As e-commerce continues to grow, retailers are investing in new technology to make the click-and-collect process more convenient for shoppers,” said Lisa London, president of Honeywell’s Productivity Products business. “With easy-to-use handheld devices, store staff can provide a high level of customer service, and retailers can reduce time and costs associated with training.”
Louise Ryan, director of Strategy and Business Development, Smiths News (the owner of the Pass My Parcel service), said: “Our investment in this new technology demonstrates a strong commitment to continuously improving the Pass My Parcel business.
“Our parcel shop network is growing at a phenomenal rate, and we are committed to enabling the very best customer experience for our existing clients and their customer base, whilst demonstrating the strength of our network to potential future clients.”
Honeywell’s ScanPal EDA50 enterprise handheld computer features an intuitive user interface, a five-inch touch screen and runs on the Android platform. The device supports Blackbay’s Fluid software application that facilitates the delivery of the online order process.
