TouchPoint launched for end-to-end retail logistics

Canute Logistics and Core Management Logistics (CML) have launched a new enterprise, called TouchPoint, which will focus on offering end-to-end retail logistics solutions. According to a statement issued by Canute earlier this month: “TouchPoint is a unique service offering importing, exporting, and eCommerce warehousing solutions combined with distribution. This new offering will strip out the need for additional suppliers for technology, eCommerce and warehousing, providing clients with a single point of contact to manage a seamless delivery which is flexible, scalable and adaptable.”

Canute said that the partnership came about when it was looking for  e-commerce warehousing for its  client, Office Depot, and it was impressed with CML’s operations in Lutterworth.

David Emslie, Group Sales Director at the Canute Group, said: “We want to ensure that we can offer a comprehensive, straightforward solution for customers at all touch points in the supply chain, so partnering with CML and combining our collective expertise in the retail supply chain is a perfect solution.”

Whilst Canute Logistics and CML are continuing their respective operations, TouchPoint will be able to support both company’s retail clients, as well as new clients, across the supply chain.

TouchPoint will operate from CML’s Lutterworth site on Magna Business Park, supported by Canute Logistics’s 14 depots throughout the UK.

According to TouchPoint’s website, the depot network is “supplemented with a fleet of 1,300 vehicles, including specialist vehicles”.

TouchPoint said that its distribution offerings include:

  • Night time deliveries
  • Stock placement and put away
  • Cage and tote box operations
  • Stock room replenishment
  • Seasonal demand planning
  • Returns management
  • Stock transfers
  • Dynamic and schedule services
  • Final mile delivery
  • Express next day delivery
