Salvatori invests £1.5m in fleet expansion
Canterbury-based Salvatori has announced that it has invested £1.5m in expanding its fleet to meet the growing demand for freight services across the UK & Europe. Joining Salvatori’s existing fleet are 27 new vehicles and trailers, including eight DAF tractor units, 12 Dennison flatbed trailers, three Allport double deckers, three DAF 18 tonne lorries, and four DAF 12 tonne lorries.
They will support the 100,000 plus pallets the company moves every year through its collection and delivery operations. Salvatori will be taking over additional areas, ME & DA, and this will double the number of pallets the company will move through the Palletways network.
Phil Macey, Group Transport & Operations Director said: “ All the new vehicles are fitted with tracker systems provided by Big Change Apps, and all round camera systems provided by Vue, ensuring both public and driver safety on the road.
“As the business grows, it is critical that we to continually invest in the best equipment, to maintain and improve our service. We believe this recent investment sends out a strong signal about our national and international capabilities.”
