Amazon has announced plans for a new fulfilment centre in Jefferson, Georgia. Employees at the more than 850,000 square-foot fulfilment centre will pick, pack and ship large items for customers like household furniture, sporting equipment and gardening tools.
When opened, Amazon will create 1,000 new full-time jobs at the facility. The company currently has more than 1,500 full-time employees at its existing facilities in the state.
