bpost revenues increase driven by “excellent parcels performance”

bpost has announced revenues of €699.6m for the second quarter (Q2) of 2017, up 18.2% on Q2 2016. In a statement issued today (7 August), bpost said that the increase was “driven by excellent Parcels performance and acquisitions”. Profit before tax for Q2 was up 7.6% to €140.1m.

For the half year (H1), revenues were up 18.8% to €1,421.1m and profit before tax up 3.9% to €290.4m. Domestic mail revenues for H1 were down €25.1m to €692.2m, due to falls in volume. Parcel revenues grew by €106.3m to €285.1m.
