Christmas Delivery Promise
Hermes has announced it will again be running its “Guaranteed Christmas Delivery Promise” initiative. Now running for the fifth consecutive year, the deal promises to get all (applicable) online purchases delivered before Christmas Day.
In a statement sent to Post&Parcel, Hermes outlined the terms of the deal: “The initiative applies to each individual parcel entering the Hermes network, with a UK mainland address, by 23.59 on Thursday 21 December.
“The terms of the commitment guarantee that at least one delivery attempt will be made to ensure consumers receive their purchases before Christmas, otherwise Hermes will refund the delivery charge.”
Martijn de Lange, Managing Director at Hermes, commented: “Planning for the peak season is a year-long process and we use this time as an opportunity to consistently strengthen our network to ensure our customers receive the best levels of service. This includes the recent opening of our £31m Midlands Super Hub in Rugby, which can process in excess of one million parcels a day.
“We have full confidence in the capability of our network and we are therefore happy to make this guaranteed commitment to our valued retail clients.”
