Spain Correos to sell property to fund investment

As part of its ‘optimisation’ plan, Correos, the Spanish post office, is to reorganise its property assets in Spain, valued by some experts at between €780m and €1.1bn. To carry out the task, the postal operator has hired the services of the law firm Garrigues and the consultancy Irea, with the first step being the drawing up of an inventory. Correos is thought to occupy some 7,000 buildings in Spain, 1,600 of which it owns and the rest of which are rented.
