Rhenus takes delivery of Daimler electric trucks

Rhenus Home Delivery has introduced a fleet of the latest Daimler electric trucks to its Berlin and Brandenburg depots.

The three FUSO eCanter electric vehicles were handed over by Christoph Fitz, Head of Sales and Marketing at FUSO Europe, to Ronny Sassen, Managing Director of Rhenus Home Delivery, at the beginning of February and were put into use immediately. They will be deployed on the company’s specialist daily transport services, delivering items to end users’ homes. These items include mattresses, furniture, large electrical appliances and more.

Ronny Sassen, said: “The special thing about these trucks is that they are completely electric and therefore particularly eco-friendly. The Rhenus Group is one of only four European companies that are being allowed to test the new vehicles from the Daimler Group for a period of two years.”
