Freightex rebranding as Coyote Logistics
Freightex, the UPS-owned European freight services provider, is being rebranded as Coyote Logistics.
Founded in the UK in 2001, Freightex was acquired by UPS in January 2017.
Coyote Logistics, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Chicago, was bought by UPS in August 2015.
In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (15 March), UPS said the acquisition of Freightex helped establish both UPS and Coyote’s presence in the growing European third-party logistics (3PL) market.
Coyote President Jonathan Sisler commented: “As Coyote Logistics expands into Europe, we will do so as a single, unified brand.
“This will foster the continued growth of the strong culture, innovative technology, and commitment to service that helped us to succeed in North America. Every Coyote employee is a part of the same global team, motivated by the same values and vision.”
European President Tim Phillips added: “Over the last 12 months we have been able to enhance our European service levels by leveraging many of Coyote’s well-developed processes, particularly with respect to technology and training.
“The rebrand is a natural next step in our journey as we move forward with one clear brand and message of unity to our customers and carriers, many with whom we have global relationships.”
