UPS launches Europe-Hong Kong FCL service

UPS has launched a new Full Container Load (FCL) service between Europe and Hong Kong.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (23 May), UPS said that the two-way service between Duisburg, Germany and Hong Kong offers businesses faster transit times of up to 30% versus FCL ocean freight, and cost savings of up to 60% versus air freight.

“Hong Kong is an important trading partner for the EU, with approximately €50bn in goods traded last year,” said Mike Harrell, president, freight forwarding, UPS Europe.

“By launching this new rail freight connection, UPS is committed to helping our customers in both Europe and Hong Kong grow their businesses and reach new markets.”
