FedEx exercises options on 15 Boeing 777 freighter planes

Planes have a list price of around USD 250m each.

The 777 freighter plane is expected to enter service later this quarter, according to a Boeing spokeswoman.

Memphis-based FedEx placed the options in 2006.

Before Tuesday’s announcement, Chicago-based Boeing said that FedEx is the largest holder of firm orders for the 777 freighter.
