From EXPANSION, April 7th, 2001
Alcampo, the Spanish supermarket group, has made an agreement with Correos, the Spanish post office, to open post office branches in its stores. The five-year agreement also includes both groups signing contracts allowing Correos to lease space in Alcampo’s new stores.

Correos currently operates 40 post offices in large commercial centres. New ones could be opened in Alcampo stores in Burgos, Ferrol, Alcoron and Madrid this year. According to both groups, the aim is to improve the public postal network for all people.
