Australia Post tells large posties to shed weight

Overweight posties could be forced to shed their kilos under a controversial measure being considered by Australia Post, reports Live News. The draft proposal for workers weighing more than 100 kilograms is aimed at speeding up road mail delivery slowed by their bulk.

Under the measure, heavy posties would be forced to see a dietician and if they can’t lose the weight they’ll be redeployed.

The union representing postal workers has warned of mass walkouts if the controversial measure is adopted.
