Estonia looking to e-save

Estonian Post plans to save 1m kroons using eletronic processing of purchase invoices. The Post receives about 4,000 invoices a month, 150 employees all over Estonia are involved in the verification and approval process.

In addition, 10 employees are engaged in invoice registration, data entry and archiving activities.

Total cost to process invoices stands at more than 2m per year. Now, with processing invoices electronically, the related costs decreased by over 40%.

“There are no more paper invoices, all invoices are recorded in the E-invoicing Centre solution, where they are approved with necessary comments. Upon receipt of all necessary approvals the invoice is transferred automatically to accounting software, “said the head of Estonian Post Info Logistics Division, Toomas Türk.
