Neopost launches new franking machines

Neopost has launched two new smart franking machines in the UK. These entry level machines – the AutoStamp and IS-280 – come with a high speed LAN connection for software downloads.

Furthermore, postage rate updates, postage re-crediting and system upgrades happen almost instantaneously.

Advanced software also ensures changes in Royal Mail services and pricing, such as the recent introduction of VAT on selected postal rates, are implemented quickly.

Speaking to Post&Parcel, Andy Mackenzie, marketing director of Neopost, said: “These new machines bring the first class benefits of the Neopost IS range into an entry level machine, ideal for small businesses, giving even greater convenience and ease of use.”

Royal Mail recently announced its annual price increase for postal rates.

From April 2011 franking machine users receive a discount on every item of mail sent: save at least 7p on every 1st class letter, 8p on every 2nd class letter and up to £1.19 on a 2kg packet.

“With the price differential widening between stamps and franking it now makes even more business sense for smaller businesses to use a franking machine.,” added Mackenzie.
