Growth at DHL Portugal

As an express transportation companyk DHL Portugals business is directly related to major changes in national exprots and imports, which are now decreasing due to the global economys cool down, said Joan Paiva, of DHL Portugals marketing department.A lthough growth rates are not has high as expected, our business has been showing considerable growth and 2001 trends confirm this trend, she said. The company has been reinforcing promotional actions to some specific locations, such as the US and France, in order to combat the lower performance of some countries that are regularly strong markets. As a consequence, DHL is already getting a very positive reaction from the market, Paiva said.
