Post Danmark is closer to entering alliances

Post Danmark, the Danish post office, is one step closer to entering extensive partnerships after its public servant employees have agreed to conditions similar to those of all other Post Danmark employees, giving up special conditions normally given to public servants. The public servants had previously indirectly prevented Post Denmark from entering partnerships.

According to Helge Israelsen, Post Danmark’s managing director, the company has been contacted by a number of potential partners. The new agreement with the public servants also make it possible to make Post Danmark a limited company in the future and thereby make a future sale possible. It will also be possible for Post Danmark to merge or build joint ventures. It will cost Post Danmark about DKr500m to change its agreements with the public servants but its workforce will be more flexible after the change. Abstracted from Borsen
