Pall-ex gets close to store groups

Pall-ex is in advanced talks with two major store groups about inclusion in their nominated carrier shcemes, says managing director Hilary Sharples.
She urged patience on Continental expansion and said that there will be a Pall-ex branded network in every country. The first agreement is thought to be imminent.
Sharples was stpaking at Pall-ex‘s fifth anniversary dinner, with the firms throughput nudging 5,000 pallets a night. Network members are ‘mature and stable she said and Motor Transport understands that two prominent hauliers will join Pall-ex in January. Small firms have also been appointed for niche areas.
Network members voted Massey Wilcox Transport the Pall-ex depot of the year.
