GLS opens depots in Budapest and Milan
GLS has opened new depots in Budapest and Milan – and both the Hungarian and Italian services use bicycles and electric vehicles. In Budapest, said GLS, the delivery drivers transport most of the parcels for the city centre by cargo bikes or e-bikes. In case of heavy loads, GLS uses an electric minivan which has a range of 130km – which the company believes is “the first of its kind in the Hungarian post and parcel market”.
In Milan, GLS is using a fleet of 12 electric vehicles and eight e-bikes.
