bpost launches Antwerp grocery delivery service

bpost has launched a new online grocery delivery service in Antwerp. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (21 September), bpost said customers place their orders on the website www.combo.be, and then bpost will deliver the groceries to their home.

Retailers participating in the new Antwerp service include: Carrefour, Capoue, Graceland, Cool Food, The Viskraam, La Boucherie Butcher Goeminne and Wink. bpost said that it expects to see more merchants joining as the service develops.

The service has been rolled out in the following areas: Aartselaar, Antwerp, Berchem, Berendrecht, Borgerhout, Borsbeek, Brasschaat, Castle, Deurne, Edegem, Hemiksem, Hoboken, Lillo, Merksem, Mortsel, Schoten, Wijnegem, Wilrijk, Wommelgem, Zandvliet and Zwijndrecht. In addition, bpost has been offering the grocery delivery service in the Brussels region, in Halle-Vilvoorde and Walloon Brabant since late 2014.

The customer chooses the date of delivery and receives an SMS confirmation. Deliveries are made every working day between 18:00 and 21:00 and the delivery charge is €9.95. Orders can be placed before midnight for evening delivery on the next day. In some cases, customers can place orders in the morning for evening deliveries on the same day.
