Kolkota home delivery service for local farm produce

Sufal Bangla, an initiative run by the West Bengal Government’s Agricultural Marketing Department, is launching a home delivery service for fresh fruits and vegetables produced by local farmers. The Sufal Bangla initiative already provides retail outlets for the farmers, with three permanent sites at Gopalpur- Rajarhat, Sontoshpur and at Mandirtala, Howrah, as well as 14 mobile outlets in various areas of Kolkota.

According to a notice on the Sufal Bangla website, the home delivery service will be launched in the New Alipore area in the south of Kolkota on Wednesday (20 July).  Sources report that the plan is to extend the service city-wide in the future.
