Cleveron launches CollectNet parcel locker network
Cleveron has launched its new CollectNet “open” network of parcel lockers in Estonia. The CollectNet network is carrier-agnostic and “open to all e-commerce, retail and logistics companies”.
A company spokesperson told Post&Parcel that the service, which is currently running as a pilot, started last week with parcel point locations in Viljandi and Tartu.
Tomorrow (19 July), a CollectNet parcel point will become operational in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city. The plan is to have 10 machines up and running by the end of the summer as part of the pilot project.
The CollectNet service uses Cleveron’s PackRobot systems, which will be accessible 24/7 and located next to high-footfall sites like supermarkets and shopping centres.
Arno Kütt, CEO of Cleveron, explained the “open” nature of the network: “CollectNet does not arrange the logistics. We only offer the possibility to insert and withdraw parcels within the network of PackRobots. We can compare it to an airport that different airlines use. Instead of every airline company building its own airport, they collectively use one infrastructure.”
Kaur Ojakivi, Cleveron’s Service Manager, outlined the plans for the future roll-out: “The first stage of CollectNet is the pilot project, which consists of ten PackRobots. The second stage involves approximately 500 innovative parcel lockers, which will be set up all around Estonia.”
