Europa Road investing £3m in fleet development

Europa Road has reported that it has continued to strengthen its international operation with a series of fleet investments over the past two years worth more than £3m. In  a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (4 October), Europa said that the most important technological change to its fleet over the past 12 months is the introduction of 65 variable deck box trailers. Fitted with a series of adjustable tracks, these trailers provide a changeable deck structure, creating a pallet load which is tailored to the needs of each individual client.

Europa has also invested in 22 double deck curtainsiders and 10 lst curtainsiders (long semi-trailers) which effectively double volumetric capacity per trailer.

The company has also install Masternaut Connect tracking software  in over 200 of its trailers. The software has improved fleet visibility, creating a fully connected fleet workforce. Masternaut’s location data automatically populates Europa’s dispatch systems with live vehicle locations, which enhances the company’s scheduling capabilities.
