Another glimpse of Amazon’s autonomous delivery vision

Amazon has been granted a patent for a system that manages highway lane assignments for autonomous vehicles. The US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) granted the patent yesterday (17 January). As previously reported, Amazon has been stacking up patents for drones and other autonomous delivery vehicles over the past couple of months.

The Amazon patent essentially describes a network that can communicate with self-driving vehicles so they can adjust to the change in traffic flow.
