Blockchain postal partnership
ParcelX and Metaverse have announced plans to work together to establish what they say will be “the world’s first global, cross-border parcel delivery network using blockchain technology”.
In a statement issued on Thursday (11 May), Metaverse said: “ParcelX will onboard Metaverse as their first dAPP on the Global ParcelX Network, and will fully utilize Metaverse’s expertise in self-sovereign digital identity on the platform. At the same time, Metaverse will open its powerful platform to ParcelX in order to deeply customize and streamline its service offerings.
“Furthermore, Metaverse will leverage its institutional investor network to assist in ParcelX’s private sale. It will also support the GPX(https://explorer.mvs.org/#!/asset/PARCELX.GPX) token’s ICO process and promote it before, during, and after the listing process via its own platforms, well-known blockchain and crypto media channels, and industry events.”
ParcelX says that it will “use blockchain technology to harness unutilized capacity from domestic delivery providers, removing inefficiency, data opacity, and high costs from geographically distant nodes.”
According to the company website: “ParcelX is a logistics network with an established market base in China, Korea and Japan. It possesses years of experience connecting cross-border e-commerce delivery providers, including 30 global air carriers and 20 national postal system platforms. ParcelX has exclusive ownership of ports China, with overseas warehouses at Japan and Korea.”
