Amazon announces first fulfilment centre in Oklahoma

Amazon has announced that it plans to open its first fulfilment centre in the state of Oklahoma.

The more than 600,000-square-foot facility, which will create more than 1,500 full-time jobs by the end of 2019, will be located in Oklahoma City.

In a statement issued on Saturday (26 May), Mark Stewart, Amazon’s Vice President of North America Customer Fulfillment, said: “We’re excited to open our first fulfillment center in Oklahoma and in a city with an outstanding workforce and a commitment to providing great opportunities for employment.”
