FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. will become an official sponsor of the French Tennis Open, one of the four Grand Slam events of tennis. The five year agreement with the French Tennis Federation entitles FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, to a number of core sponsorship rights beginning with this year’s French Open tournament at the home of French tennis, Roland Garros.

Correios, Brazil’s postal agency, hopes to have the kiosks up and running by the end of June, officials said. People will be able to surf the Web and retrieve e-mail.
As a way of encouraging people to use the service, the first 10 minutes will be free. After that, the agency plans to charge what it calls a “popular fee.” Payment will be made using an electronic card purchased from Correios or one of its partners.
Correios plans to have at least one computer in each of Brazil’s 5,366 post offices.
Postmen employed by the Dutch post office could soon be delivering mail on the streets of Britain, the company said on Wednesday.
Peter Bakker, chairman of TPG, said it would hire its own postmen rather than the Royal Mail’s under plans by the postal regulator to allow companies to compete with Consignia. “Lots of people come to deliver stuff to your house. There is nothing special about having my mailman here. There are so many delivery organisations in this country. All we will do is add another one or combine it with our express network if practical,” said Mr Bakker.
Tibbett & Britten will run Tescos 46,000 sq m (500,000 sq ft) ambient food distribution site on a £60m three year contract. Secondary distribution is included in the contract to 100 Tesco stores in the south east, from Brighton to Covent Garden to East Anglia.

The Direct Marketing Association expressed concern yesterday over the decision by the Mailers Council to call for a presidential commission to study changes to the U.S. Postal Service.
In a letter to President Bush sent yesterday, Mailers Council executive director Bob McLean called on the White House to create a commission on postal reform to evaluate the USPS.
