US postmasters’ organizations set to merge

The members of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States (NAPUS) have voted unanimously to join with the National League of Postmasters to form the new United Postmasters and Managers of America (UPMA). The vote took place on Tuesday at the NAPUS national convention in Mobile, Alabama.

The motion to dissolve NAPUS and form UPMA was proposed by Linda Gurka, Michigan Chapter president and Postmaster of Suttons Bay, and seconded by Bill Judge, Postmaster of Piqua, OH.
