DPD displays delivery drone at Paris festival

DPDgroup displayed its parcel delivery drone system at a Drone Festival in Paris. As previously reported, DPDgroup has developed a system that incorporates a “delivery terminal” – which it says will “ensure the safety of the loading, take-off and landing phases as well as the parcel release”.

DPDGroup organised a display of the system on the Champs-Elysées on Sunday (4 September).

In partnership with Atechsys, DPDgroup has developed a drone capable of autonomously transporting large parcels (37cm x 27cm x 12,5cm) of up to 3kg within a 20km radius.
