One World Express: India’s e-commerce market is growing at an exponential rate

One World Express is set to expand into India, it was announced today.

DHL eCommerce has announced it would be ceasing its international services for Indian merchants as of 30th November 2021. UK-headquartered One World Express, a global logistics, eCommerce and IT solutions provider, will be moving into the Indian market in its place.

One World Express intends to fill the service gap left by DHL eCommerce – formally one of India’s largest cross-border logistics service providers – and ensure that all Indian merchants can continue to ship products to customers all over the world with minimal disruption to operations.

One World Express’ entrance into India means that merchants will soon have access to its internationalshipping platform, Ship2world. Powered by One World Express’s innovative Smarttrack technology, Ship2world’s platform allows merchants to access hundreds of shipping options and optimise routing.

Ship2world also connects to vendors’ online shops. This means that any sale made automatically notifies the platform of a shipping order and connects the merchant with multiple courier options.

Combining competitive tariffs with the latest tracking technology, the Ship2world will support India’s eCommerce businesses, particularly smaller vendors, by providing them with the tools to increase sales, and in turn profits, by accessing cost-effective shipping solutions worldwide.

One World Express will be operational in India as of 22nd November.

Atul Bhakta, CEO of One World Express, said: “We are perfectly poised to step into the shoes of one of India’s eCommerce giants. One World Express is a well-established global logistics firm, and following the successful UK rollout of our Ship2world platform, we are confident that we will not only fulfil the international shipment needs of Indian merchants, but improve upon the service they have enjoyed in previous years.

“The combined forces of Ship2world’s innovative platform and One World Express’ sophisticated Smarttrack technology will enable merchants to continue shipping their products worldwide. It will also provide them with more efficient and cost-effective courier solutions to improve their overall business performance.

“India’s eCommerce market is growing at an exponential rate, and it is the ambition of Ship2world and One World Express to ensure it continues to do so in the years to come. We are absolutely delighted that we can play a part in empowering micro, small and medium enterprises expand and export into global markets.
