ESTONIAN POST RECEIVES POSTAL COMPANIES' INNOVATION PRIZE

Eesti Post (Estonian Post) received an innovation prize for a card payments solution created for couriers and postal institutions at a world postal institutions award-giving ceremony Wednesday in Paris.

By means of the solution, created in cooperation with the EMT mobile phone company, couriers will be able to make fast and safe card payments, which are ordinary card payments for the clients, Eesti Post reported.

“It is very nice that the trend of Estonian Post to offer more convenient and effective solutions to clients was recognized as the best innovation in the postal world,” Eesti Post board member Kalle Tarien said.

The company will bring the mobile card payment services to the market in the next few weeks.

Estonian Post is the first East-European postal company to be given a World Mail Awards prize. Earlier US Post, DHL and KEBA AF, USPS and Swedish Post have received prizes in the same category.
