Swiss MailSource Expands in France, Buys EPS Internal Postal Business

Swiss mailroom management solutions provider MailSource, a subsidiary of Swiss Post, founded internal postal services company MailSource France SAS on July 1, 2006, as part of its expansion in France.

The new company has acquired the customers and staff of Paris-based Euro Postal Services SARL (EPS) with immediate effect for a six-digit sum in euro, Swiss Post said in a press release on July 5, 2006.

MailSource France SAS is expected to generate an annual turnover of around 600,000 euro ($766,000) with the prospect of significantly increasing revenue, profit and number of employees over the next few years.

Through the move, MailSource becomes the first Swiss Post subsidiary present on the French market.

MailSource, founded in 2000, offers companies and organisations internal postal services, document scanning and archiving, mailing management and reception services. It employs 2,200, of whom 320 in Switzerland. The company is present in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein and France and has been active in the USA since the beginning of 2006.

MailSource is expected to achieve sales of around 200 mln Swiss francs ($163.4 mln/127.6 mln euro) in 2006.
