Danzas opens doors to its largest logistics facility in Middle East

Danzas AEI Emirates, part of DHL, opened a new USD 50m multi-purpose logistics facility in Dubai.

Danzas AEI Emirates, part of DHL, officially opened a new AED 185 million (USD 50.36 million) plus multi-purpose logistics facility, in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

The 80,000 square metre facility is the largest of its kind in the Middle East.

With the global freight market set to reach USD 1.4 trillion by 2020, and the Gulf imports and exports reaching USD 320 billion at the end of 2007, the new facility is an essential addition to the Danzas service portfolio, according to Enver Moretti, CEO and President, EMA Region, DHL Global Forwarding.

The new facilities utilise advanced, scalable technology platforms and strategic warehouse management solutions, combined with an environmentally friendly green data centre. This is expected to ensure customer accuracy, flexibility and a speed of goods movement that will support significant cost efficiencies.
