Ukraine Minister backs European Post Office financial services

During the meeting, Joseph Vinsky and Edward Dayan discussed the urgent need to improve the Ukrainian mail network.

Ukraine Minister of Transport and Communications, Joseph Vinsky has met with the General Manager of the Universal Postal Union Edouard Dayan in Bern, Switzerland, to discuss ways to improve the world postal space and support universal postal services.

As Joseph Vinsky, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has completed the development of the State Program for the Development of Postal Service in Ukraine. He also stressed the importance of and the timeliness of focusing the international community to the development of postal financial services.

“Postal structure should play a special role in serving the population” – highlighted Joseph Vinsky. According to the minister, after the rapid loss of confidence in the banking of citizens have no reservations to the transfer, for example, funds post.

UPU Director General Edouard Dayan also urged that more attention be paid to the issue of environmental protection – such as the reduction of emissions.
