A collaboration between Hongkong Post and Korea Post has been announced which offers customers a wide selection of popular products and e-merchants.
To signify the importance of the collaboration, Hongkong Post acting postmaster general YF Chan and director general of Korea Post Dr Ko Kwang-Sup, signed a memorandum of understanding.
“We have witnessed strong growth of outward mail traffic generated by Internet trade in Hong Kong. We strongly believe that postal administrations should collaborate more closely to grasp the business opportunities of this blooming Internet trade and counteract the potential negative impact of the latest economic turmoil,” said Chan.
“We are pleased to team up with Korea Post in providing Hong Kong customers a wider selection of Korean products in our Internet shopping mall, ‘ShopThruPost’, using our value-for-money promotion and distribution solution for their merchants. Hongkong Post is dedicated to providing cost effective and reliable solutions to ensure products are safely delivered to customers. Moreover, through this collaboration, we aspire to drive more traffic for our Speedpost and other related postal services such as logistics and direct mail services,” he added.
Chan indicated that collaboration with other postal administrations on e-commerce is underway and that the variety of products available at the ‘ShopThruPost’ website will be gradually increased.
