Dennis Gilham retires from Neopost

Dennis Gilham, corporate partnerships director, will be retiring from Neopost at the end of December after 35 years. Dennis has had a unique and varied career, starting with Roneo Alcatel in 1974, and progressing to become R&D director in Romford. From there he moved to France to start up the Product Marketing function for the Neopost Group in Bagneux before taking on his present role in 1998.

Dennis led teams responsible for developing new postal franking products and services, document systems and shipping products. Dennis was part of the IPO team, which floated Neopost on the Paris Stock Exchange. He has helped Neopost enter many markets through his relationships and collaboration with postal operators and Neopost’s many partners worldwide. He has also made great contributions in the areas of innovation, intellectual property and postal compliance.

Dennis has been succeeded by Gavin Macrae who joined Neopost on 1 August 2009. Gavin is located at the Group headquarters in Bagneux, Paris, and reports to Denis Thiery, CEO of Neopost Group. Gavin previously worked at Postcomm, the UK regulator where he was director market development. Prior to this Gavin had an extensive career with Royal Mail and PostEurop in Brussels where he represented the collective interests of European public postal operators. On returning to the UK, he was seconded to TNT in Amsterdam to set up the constitution of the Spring Global Mail Joint Venture. Gavin has a Master of Arts in French with Canadian studies from Edinburgh University.
