New Europe-South America service launched by Hanjin

Hanjin Shipping (HJS) will launch a new Europe to South America Express Service (ESE). The move has been formed in partnership with United Arab Shipping Company (UASC), COSCO Container Lines (COSCON), and Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica (CCNI), with the service operating from March.

The ESE Service will deploy six vessels of 2500 TEU capacity. UASC and HJS will deploy two vessels each while COSCON and CCNI will deploy one vessel each.

The new Europe to South America Express Service will run on a weekly basis with the following port rotation: Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Algeciras, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Itajai, Santos, Salvador, Algeciras and Rotterdam.

A call at Paranagua is being planned for a later stage.

The northbound and southbound calls at Algeciras will provide connections to and from the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Far East and Africa.
