InPost announces Visualsoft partnership

InPost, the largest global operator of a parcel locker network operating 24/7, has announced its partnership with e-commerce provider Visualsoft, which enables retailers to offer ‘click and collect’ facilities. Over the course of the past year, e-commerce has revolutionised the delivery landscape and retailers are increasingly looking to capitalise on shoppers’ demand for click-and-collect options. The growing popularity of this particular delivery option is highlighted in a new survey by Quail Digital, which showed that 77% of respondentsaid that click-and-collect is often more convenient for them than home delivery.

No longer are consumers expected to plan their day around their home delivery – a near impossible task for over 52% of online shoppers as they are not at home during normal delivery hours. Click-and-collect to in-store, or a local collection point, puts the consumer firmly back in control, with the introduction of parcel lockers as the next evolutionary step of this concept.

The new partnership with Visualsoft, an e-commerce provider that designs and builds online stores, enabling Visualsoft customers to use a ‘plug and play’ integration to their website. This means retailers can set up InPost as a courier option.

Michelle De Pasquale, commercial director at InPost, comments:

“Click-and-collect is revolutionising the delivery landscape and is becoming the next point of differentiation for UK retailers. Sited in convenient locations such as stations, petrol forecourts, outside local shops and retail parks – consumers are able to collect their delivery any hour of the day or night and with the introduction of QR code technology sent straight to the customers mobile it is very simple and straight-forward to collect a parcel. The Visualsoft brand is well-respected within the e-commerce industry and we’re looking forward to working closely with the company in the coming months to help deliver ‘click and collect’ service options to an increasingly wide range of retailers.”
