DelSol invests in new warehouse for Cheshire depot
Delivery Solutions (DelSol) has invested £250,000 in building a new warehouse for its Sandycroft depot in Cheshire. DelSol, whose head office and main depot is located in Caernarfon, North Wales, provides parcel, pallet and full load freight delivery services.
The company said that the new investment, which comes off the back of £1m worth of investments in the last three years, included a £125,000 loan from Barclays Corporate.
“Just two years ago we doubled the size of our Deeside depot to 50,000 sq ft by buying land and buildings adjacent to our Glendale Business Park site,” said company co-director Tony Parry.
“Now, we are set to add a further 10,000 sq ft warehouse. The additional space will be used for transhipment to and from our collection and trunk vehicles to accommodate the rising number of pallets despatched from our customer base across North Wales, Chester and the Wirral.
“The new warehouse will help us continue to provide a first-class service to our customers, to capitalise on the increasing number of Internet sales and to target further sustainable growth.”
Speaking to Post&Parcel today (21 July), Parry said that the hand-over for the new warehouse took place last week and the facility is already operational.
Delsol runs a fleet of more than 70 vehicles, including motorcycles, modern delivery vans and tail-lift equipped trucks. Overnight networking is the core business.
