H&M Distribution ramps up facilities

St Neots-based logistics company H&M Distribution has announced that it has invested around £260,000 in its facilities and equipment following a period of significant growth for the business. H&M Distribution, part of the Palletways palletised freight network, has grown its fleet with the addition of an 18 tonne rigid lorry and two artic units plus trailers. It has also expanded its facility with additional office and warehousing space to help increase productivity and meet the growing demand for its services in Cambridgeshire.

Steve Thorpe, Commercial Director at H&M Distribution, said: “We’ve experienced tremendous growth in the last 12 months but our investment in the depot meant that we could maintain high standards in operations and customer service.

“In addition, we recently implemented new IT systems to help customers track deliveries and have complete visibility. The enhanced online portal, which has been developed by Palletways, has been very well received by our customers and has reinforced their confidence in the excellent service we offer.”

H&M Distribution, which has been part of the Palletways network since 2007, employs more 90 staff across all its operations in St Neots, Gloucester and Warrington. Its 50-strong fleet handles over 30,000 pallets a month.
