Cammack joins Palletways

Cheshire-based logistics firm Cammack has joined the European palletised freight network, Palletways. Cammack currently specialises in transporting large equipment for the train maintenance industry, such as locomotive wheelsets and power units, and counts Virgin Trains, Bombardier and Great Western Railways amongst its customers.

The company has an 18-strong fleet, including 15 HGV lorries and three vans, and employs 21 members of staff. Cammack will handle more than 240 pallets a week for Palletways and will operate in the Crewe area.

Jo Cammack, a director with firm, said: “Partnering with Palletways will open up a lot of opportunities for growth thanks to its wide geographical footprint and its state of the art IT systems which will boost our operational efficiencies and customer service.”

The Palletways network has 400 depots across Europe, of which more than 100 are in the UK. The company’s distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share each other’s resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight.
