Hermes preparing for record peak volumes in Germany

Hermes has announced that it expects the number of shipments over the coming peak season to be about 20% up on record volumes of 2015. The company has taken on an additional 6,000 workers over the peak season and the fleet will be increased by 3,600 Sprinter vans and trucks.

Hermes added that it is also investing its long-term logistical infrastructure, by modernising its existing facilities and also building new facilities in Bad Rappenau (Baden-Württemberg) and Ketzin/Havel (Brandenburg) in Berlin.
