CUPW members ratify Canada Post agreements

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced that its members have ratified the tentative collective agreements that were reached with Canada Post on 1 September. In a statement issued yesterday (5 December) the CUPW said that, after six weeks of local membership meetings, the agreements had been ratified by members in both the Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers (RSMC) and the Urban Postal Operations (UPO) bargaining units.

The RSMC vote was 55% in favour, while the UPO contract received a 63% vote.
