Carrefour extends its express one-hour delivery service

Carrefour has announced that it has launched an “ultra-fast” delivery service for Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine. The service has been trialled since October in around 10 Paris districts. Customers can order from around 2,000 “daily-use” products which will be delivered to them within the hour. They can select a 30-minute delivery slot and delivery costs €4.90. There’s no minimum purchase amount and customers don’t need to subscribe in order to use the service.

The delivery service can be accessed from the livraisonexpress.carrefour.fr website and an “Express delivery” app will soon be available – with the option to track their deliveries in real time.

The deliveries are made between 9 am and 10pm Monday to Saturday by “Stuart” – the start-up company in which GeoPost has made an investment.

In a statement issued last Thursday (15 December), Carrefour said that the new ultra-fast service “sits alongside a wide range of other multi-channel delivery services”. Carrefour has been offering home deliveries since 1994.
