CollectPlus launches Print in Store for Returns and integration with Alexa

UK-based CollectPlus has rolled out its Print in Store service for Returns, which means that customers who do not have access to a printer can now return their online shopping to retailers by printing their Returns label at their local CollectPlus store.

The launch of Print in Store for Returns follows on from the debut of the Print in Store for the CollectPlus Send service in 2017.

CollectPlus has also announced that it has built an integration with Amazon Alexa that enables customers to order their Returns label entirely through the Alexa app’s voice activation technology. Customers tell Alexa the name of the retailer they wish to make a return to. The device will then send a barcode to the customer’s phone, along with a link to the Store Locator tool to help them find their nearest CollectPlus store.

This service was developed in collaboration with technology returns start-up Clicksit, which specialises in fast track innovation processes for customer returns. Launch clients for this service include Sky, Very, Littlewoods and Very Excusive with more brands being added.

Commenting on the launch, Matthew Jacques, Strategic Partnerships Director at CollectPlus, said: “This rollout of Print in Store for Returns will benefit customers who do not have a printer at home – as is the case for many millennials who are used to living paper-free lives.

“The additional integration with Amazon Alexa marks the first time that voice activation technology has been used end to end in consumer returns logistics and offers our customers even greater convenience as they fit online shopping around their busy lifestyles.”
