P&O Trans European Expands in Southern Europe
P&O Trans European has announced today the acquisition of Spanish-based Transportes Internacionales Marqueset SA.

Based in Valencia, Marqueset employs over 200 staff and operates from owned centres in Madrid, Barcelona, Irun and Paris and has a turnover in excess of Euros 40m. The company is active in the international transportation field as well as offering the full range of logistics and distribution services to clients in Spain and France.

“Spain is a high growth economy and our acquisition of Marqueset is an important step for us towards completing our coverage of the European market,” said Charles Rice, managing director of P&O Trans European Holdings. “Marqueset’s reputation for high quality service; its full coverage of the Spanish market and its successful management team will provide a strong platform for further improving our pan-European service capability for our customers.”
